In the event of the death of a loved one, it is usual for family members to contact the Undertakers first. They in turn will contact the parish to book the date and time of the Mass. Funeral Masses are at 10.00 am, unless the family have their own priest.
On hearing from the Undertakers, the priests of the parish will phone the next of kin to arrange a meeting to choose readings for the funeral Mass and for the priest to become familiar with the wishes of the family in relation to the funeral liturgy.
We have a resident parish organist who is available for funerals. The Undertakers have a list of singers to sing at funeral Masses.
