The all-important aim in Christian meditation is to allow God’s mysterious and silent presence within us to become more and more not only a reality, but the reality which gives meaning, shape and purpose to everything we do, to everything we are… John Main OSB
A small group of people meets to meditate quietly in accordance with the teachings of John Main. John Main was a Benedictine monk who recovered the Christian tradition of meditation as practised by the early Desert monks and taught it as a spiritual discipline for people from all walks of life. Having listened to a short talk on CD, the group meditate in silence for 25 minutes or so. All welcome.
The group meets in the Presbytery, 186 Clontarf Road, every Monday from 8 to 8.45pm.
The process of meditation is the opening of the eye of the heart. John Main OSB
